BAGHDAD — A U.S. military spokesman said a man detained Thursday in northern Iraq is not wanted terrorist Abu Hamza al-Muhajer, the leader of the Sunni insurgent group al-Qaida in Iraq.

“It’s not him,” the military spokesman said.
