Sprint appears to be on brink of $12B WiMax deal

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Sprint Nextel’s long-anticipated deal to finance its high-speed WiMax wireless network appears to be imminent. Sources at companies involved in ongoing discussions have told The Kansas City Star a formal announcement could come as soon as this week.
