Bend man appeared to be reaching for weapon when veteran officer shot him during a drug bust, DA says

A man shot by a Bend Police detective Friday appeared to be reaching for something just before he was killed, although officials found no gun in the vehicle after the incident, according to Deschutes County District Attorney Mike Dugan.
