Man believed to be final member in plot on Hitler’s life dies

Philipp Freiherr von Boeselager, believed to be the last surviving member of the inner circle of German army officers who attempted to assassinate Adolf Hitler with a briefcase bomb on July 20, 1944, died Thursday. He was 90 and lived in Altenahr, in the Rhineland-Palatinate.
