REDMOND — A passion for meats runs in Ben Moore’s family.

His grandfather owned a grocery store in the Mount Hood area in the 1970s where his father, Terry Moore, worked as a meat cutter. His father moved to Redmond in 1989 and opened the Redmond Smokehouse a year later.
