Forest Service to conduct environmental analysis on plot southeast of La Pine

More than 90 years ago, a few hundred cattle grazed the Gebhardt Flat allotment southeast of La Pine. A few decades later, the cattle moved out and the sheep moved in; over the years a new pasture was added, and cattle came back to graze.
