Appeal denied in ’03 racing death

David Allen Black was convicted on a manslaughter charge in the fatal crash

The Oregon Court of Appeals affirmed a 2004 decision of a Deschutes County judge that likely will keep Bend resident David Allen Black, now 24, behind bars until at least 2010.

The appellate court decision last week agreed with Deschutes Circuit Court Judge Stephen Tiktin’s sentencing....
