Bend stalls on regional transit system

Officials say the city wants to do more research before committing

The city of Bend is having second thoughts about joining a regional transit system.

The Bend City Council decided March 17 not to sign a letter that would have pledged support for a new transit plan. Redmond, Sisters and Deschutes County have signed the agreement.
