Longtime educator takes helm at Bend elementary

Skip Offenhauser said he’s looking forward attending school, this time as principal.

Offenhauser, 42, will step in as Buckingham Elementary School’s principal July 1, Bend-La Pine Schools announced Wednesday.

Current Principal Teresa Hjeresen is leaving the east-side school....
