Bend musher falls short of race’s end

KOYUK, Alaska — Central Oregon musher Rachael Scdoris pulled out of the 2008 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race after reaching a checkpoint Thursday 941 miles into the approximately 1,100-mile race across Alaska to Nome.
