The Bend Fire Department temporarily closed its Tumalo station Saturday due to budget shortfalls.
Located west of Bend, the station shut down from 9 a.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday, Fire Chief Larry Langston said Sunday. Two to three firefighters typically man the station.
