Bend torn over sale of site to fund operations

City weighs how to spend profit from future sale of former Bulletin building

Though Bend city councilors want to sell off the former site of The Bulletin, they aren’t eager to spend the resulting money.

At a work session Wednesday, city staff said they needed the money from the sale to push ahead with a long-range plan for the center of Bend.
