Spring makes an impression on high trails

The high country of the Central Oregon Cascades gained more than a foot of new snow last weekend, making conditions good above 6,000 feet.

Although subsequent warmer weather settled the snowpack, it should be a fairly good weekend for skiing from Virginia Meissner Sno-park on up.
