Diesel prices soar with oil to new highs

Area truckers feel the pinch; costs of other goods may rise as a result

Diesel prices set a new high Monday as the national average hit $3.66 per gallon, according to a federal agency. That record price is over $1 more than the fuel’s national average of $2.63 per gallon a year ago.
