Deschutes County puts 911 levy on May ballot

The Deschutes County Commission voted Wednesday to put the 911 levy on the May ballot.

If it passes, the levy will run for five years and charge 23 cents per $1,000 in assessed property value. A 911 levy on the ballot in May 2007 failed because it did not meet Oregon’s double-majority....
