Christine Banka, of Gilchrist, died Thursday of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. She was 83.

Services have been held.

Mrs. Banka was born Aug. 15, 1924, in Parkhill, Pa., the daughter of Joseph and Catherine (Naugle) Chon.
