A rocky road for Bend’s many dirt streets

While plenty of residents would like the gravel gone, ‘we don’t have a budget to do paving,’ the city says

There are potholes in Northwest Elgin Avenue that threaten to devour Will Groves’ car.

His one-block stretch of the road is unpaved, even though one end of the block meets Northwest 14th Street and the rest of it is paved.

One growing hole in the packed gravel road is big enough now....
