Bend’s chief of police announces retirement

Andy Jordan to leave at the end of March after more than two decades with the department

Bend's police chief of the last eight years, Andy Jordan, announced his retirement Monday, capping a total of 33 years in local law enforcement.

Jordan, 55, said he'd been mulling his options for more than a year and that now was as good a time as any to leave.
