Bend police urge motorists to stay off the roads

Snow slides cause temporary closures of Santiam Pass

UPDATED at 2:30 p.m. - Bend police are asking motorists to stay off the roads, particularly those on the west side of town, except for travel that is absolutely necessary or for emergencies.

And in the Cascades, two separate avalanches temporarily closed Santiam Pass.
