Oregon Old Time Fiddlers seek to sustain traditional music with monthly event

REDMOND — Larry Besel shuffled onto the dance floor Sunday with Fern Young-Ewell, 76, rocking to the sound of banjos and fiddles.

“I’d rather dance than eat,” said Besel, 82, of Redmond. “Classy country music is what I like.”
