Tumalo floods not unusual, in historic lens

Hydrologists present past data to help explain high water this fall

The floodwater that lapped at people’s houses along Tumalo Creek this fall might have been a surprise to some of the area’s more recent homeowners. But the high water flows are nothing unusual or out of place for the river, according to hydrologists.
