Erickson’s Thriftway closing after half-century in Redmond

After 50 years in business, Erickson’s Thriftway in Redmond is closing due to what managers say were declining sales at the small grocery store made worse by the new, 24-hour Wal-Mart Supercenter. The supercenter includes a 39,604-square-foot grocery store.
