Local woman turns family story into children's book

Every Christmas, Lisa Marie Phelps listened to her father tell the story of his favorite Christmas.

This particular Christmas story didn’t involve piles of gifts, snow, Santa Claus, a turkey dinner or any of that traditional holiday fare.
