Police say La Pine girl eludes potential abductor

A 16-year-old La Pine girl fled Monday from a man who tried to abduct her, said Sgt. Ronny Dozier with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.

The man pulled up beside her in a car around noon while she was walking down Finley Butte Road in La Pine, Dozier said. He got out of the car....
