Bend-La Pine set to OK $3M for location of new school

On Tuesday, the Bend-La Pine school board is expected to approve a $3 million purchase of land for the new elementary school on Bend’s west side.

The school, which is slated to open in the middle of the 2008-09 school year, will be built near Skyliners Road west of Mt. Washington....
