Family event held to bring Hispanic residents to library

LA PINE — Grasping a brown marker, 9-year-old Ashley Gunter carefully colored in an eagle Saturday afternoon at the La Pine Public Library.

She glued on green and red strips of tissue paper and added a straw, then ran to show her mother the result: A miniature Mexican flag.
