Former Bend resident Stoltz captures third Xterra world title

HONOLULU — Conrad Stoltz of South Africa, a former Bend resident, made a strong comeback from injuries to win the Xterra World Championship on Sunday on Maui.

Four current Central Oregon residents also finished the race, staged Sunday on Maui.
