Water buffalo being raised in Culver as an experiment in husbandry

CULVER — Longtime cattle rancher Mike Mazour didn’t know what to expect when a truckload of 88 water buffalo bulls, ranging in weight from 400 to 2,600 pounds, were unloaded into a corral at his 160-acre ranch southwest of town last week.
