Sisters wildfire patterns could happen elsewhere

When the G.W. Fire started in the wilderness west of Sisters this summer, it followed a pattern familiar to the local U.S. Forest Service.

"Every year, it's like 'Groundhog Day,'" said Jinny Pitman, fire and fuels manager with the Sisters Ranger District.
