Deschutes sues utility for $34K in back taxes

Owner says company never received tax bill until 2002

In what Deschutes County officials called an unusual move, the county is suing the water company that serves Widgi Creek Golf Club and its home-owners, asserting the utility owes more than $34,000 in back taxes and interest.
