AAA Oregon/Idaho recommends these items be carried in a car during the winter:

1. Emergency food

2. Tire chains

3. Paper towels

4. Sand or cat litter, which can be placed under tires for traction

5. Water

6. Sleeping bag or blanket

7. Jumper cables

8. Flares

9. Rechargeable flashlight with AM/FM....
