Bend man ascends 30 pitches in a single day at Smith Rock for charity

Ryan Bolen carefully placed his foot on a loose boulder. The rock slipped off the wall and was falling straight for his climbing partner, Calvin Landrus, who was standing on the ground below.

Bolen let out a warning scream and Landrus looked up. The rock was 30 feet above and closing fast.....
