Dropping off your garbage will be a bit less hazardous

Deschutes County won’t have to raise rates at new facility

Starting in mid-November, customers who want a safer and cleaner experience dumping their garbage will get their chance, thanks to a $12 million project to create a new Deschutes County waste facility.

The new facility is adjacent to Knott Landfill southeast of Bend on Southeast 27th Street.....
