Central Oregonians try to conquer Bend’s landmark in a race on Saturday

Many Central Oregonians and out-of-towners travel to the top of Bend’s Pilot Butte each year, but only once a year does a group of hearty souls try to run up the town’s imposing geological landmark as fast as they can.
