School board should resist tax

We suppose it was only a matter of time before the Bend-La Pine School Board began to discuss Senate Bill 1036, which allows school districts to tax new construction. And that’s fine. SB 1036 may be a lousy piece of lawmaking, but a little talking never hurt anybody.
