Stand-up paddling catches on in Central Oregon

Judy Shasek pushed off the bank of the Deschutes River, gracefully moving from her knees to a standing position on her oversized surfboard, her feet pointed forward. Soon she was moving swiftly upstream, paddling against the current as the sun glistened on the water surface.
