In a story about Deschutes County Sheriff Larry Blanton’s candidacy, which appeared Friday, Sept. 14, on Page C1, Blanton’s bid for sheriff was described incorrectly in the headline. Blanton was appointed sheriff in April. He will run for election to the post in 2008.
