Weekend wind patterns worsen haze from fire near Warm Springs

A forest fire west of Madras has continued to grow in the past few days, sometimes blanketing the region in smoke.

The haze was caused by a giant plume of smoke from the Warm Springs Agency Lightning Complex, a series of three major fires that was sparked July 12 by lightning, 21 miles southwest....
