Councilor aiming to snuff out fireworks in Bend

All fireworks except for official public displays could be banned in Bend by next year if one city councilor has his way.

The council is set to discuss an ordinance pushed by Councilor Bill Friedman at its work session Monday night, though the eventual outcome is uncertain, he said.
