Advocates ready for burning season

‘Necessary evil’ keeps grass seed crops going all year; opponents say it’s unsafe

Grass seed field burning has not raised the same level of rancor in Central Oregon as elsewhere in the state, but the region’s agriculture industry is looking for ways to maintain the practice, without affecting public health, while exploring alternatives in the future.
