Lizard’s heater likely started fire in Bend

A fire in a northwest Bend home Monday night that caused an estimated $45,000 in damages was most likely sparked by a pet lizard’s warming unit, according to investigators.

Smoke was billowing from the west window of a home in the 100 bock of northwest Utica Avenue at about 9:30 p.m.....
