2 new fires in the region; lightning may spark more

After a day of soaring temperatures, at least two fires ignited Thursday afternoon in Central Oregon, one striking the heart of Bend and the other scorching 5,000 acres of public land and closing U.S. Highway 20 east of Brothers.
