Roadwork in the area takes a break for July Fourth

Some road work will take a break this week because of the Fourth of July.

In Jefferson County, work will cease on U.S. Highway 97 north of Madras to replace an existing bridge at Hay Creek, an irrigation canal bridge and a cattle pass culvert, according to a news release from the Oregon....
