Builder gets sentence for forgery, theft

A former construction supervisor who forged city inspection permits on dozens of Bend homes last year - apparently to speed up his work - was sentenced in Deschutes County Circuit Court on Tuesday to do community service and to pay $100,000 in restitution to his former employer.
