Memorial set today for father of Bend parks

A public memorial will be held at 1:30 p.m. today for Vince Genna, who was known as the “father” of Bend parks.

The memorial will take place at the stadium named in his honor, at Fifth Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Bend.

An exhibition baseball game will follow the memorial....
