Less than a week after the Humane Society of Central Oregon said it may have to euthanize some pets because of an animal overflow during the Memorial Day weekend, people stepped up to the plate and adopted dozens of dogs.

People adopted 24 dogs between May 26 and June 2, shelter's animal welfare....
