Doctors have a hard time convincing kids to wear protective eyewear for sports despite the risks

Kids playing sports is as American as apple pie and, well, baseball. Unfortunately, so are sports-related eye injuries. Each year more than 42,000 people injure an eye while playing sports, and more than a third of those are children.

Eye doctors maintain that up to 90 percent of those injuries....
