Skimmers help Central Oregon bid farewell to ski season

In a fitting aloha to Mt. Bachelor's ski season Sunday, 20-year-old Sean Mercer dressed up like a Tiki doll, strapped on his skis and divebombed toward a murky 80-foot-long pool of icy water.

Mercer, of Bend, joined 61 other brave souls who hit the slopes on Mt. Bachelor's closing day in hopes....
