Bend council hasn't finalized a location

A committee of veterans and city officials is moving forward with plans for a veterans memorial in Bend and wants to have the project completed and dedicated by November.

Though designs have not been finalized, supporters envision a slab with the names of Bend-area veterans engraved on one side....
