State forecast gives higher ed more cash

OSU-Cascades, COCC say proposal still not enough

SALEM - The budget picture improved Tuesday for Oregon's universities and community colleges, by virtue of a rosy forecast that predicts the state will have an additional $152 million to spend during the next two years.

The quarterly report from the state economist also elicited sighs of relief....
